Detoxification: How to use anti-oxidant to remove some wastes from metabolism of foods and drinks.
Detoxification can mean many things to many groups of persons based on their different reasons for detoxifying. Some persons detoxify for religious beliefs , others do it to treat addiction, to assist weaning people off alcohol and drugs, while many detoxify to maintain their Pretty & Healthy status.
However, detoxing is a simple and natural process that you can do in the comfort of your own home. But detoxing with fresh fruit and vegetable juices rests and rejuvenate the parts you don’t normally reach – or even think about.
Use at least 30 minutes to think about all you do and the times and money you spend cleaning and looking after your external body. You thoroughly bath your skin, scrubbed and moisturized , toned and bleached ( in some cases). Your hair is shampooed, conditioned and made ( and packed with creams and oils in some cases). Your teeth are brushed with expensive toothpastes and flossed day and night.
As a clean appearance is so vitally important to many of us today, shouldn’t it follow that we spend, a quarter of that time ensuring that our internal bodies are also cleansed and rested on a regular basis.
Moreover, it’s the condition of our internal organs and bodily system that actually determine how Pretty & Healthy we are.
Good inner health reflect itself externally in our skin, hair, nails and eyes.
Our modern lifestyle has its advantages, but it also has its down sides too. Pollution ( in the air, water, and foods that we eat), poor diet, too much alcohol, all those, so- called bitter concoctions, smoking, coupled with our everyday stress can all contribute to a built-up of toxins in our bodies and a sluggish metabolism. The resultant fatigue, blemishes, lack-luster hair, dull skin and tired eyes can all be signs that we need to eliminate toxins, refresh our hard-working bodies.
A regular fruit and vegetable juices detox can help cleanse the blood and skin tissues of toxins, while providing essential nutrients for distribution around the body. Juices and some herbal teas are particularly, effective in cleaning and maintaining the digestive system and the vital organs of elimination: the liver, kidneys and colon.
There are other methods of body cleansing, but for now, I want to explain with the Lymphatic system – a network of tiny blood vessels which transport wastes and bacteria away from cells to be neutralized or disposed of. In addition to their cleansing powers, fresh juices from fruits and vegetables provide an excellent source of Vitamins, Minerals and Amino Acids, which can replenish and strengthen existing stocks of nutrients. Juices are also easy to digest and therefore, restful on the stomach and intestines, for they contain plant enzymes which aid in their breakdown.
Yes! Water is a good detoxing item, however, additional important role played by juices is their strong Alkalizing effect.
Like all living things, we have a pH balance between Acid and Alkaline. We should be more Alkaline than Acidic, but over- acidity occur in many of us, because we eat loads of protein, sweet, fatty and processed foods and the so- called drinks blended with artificial flavours ( concentrates) .
This has been linked to a weakening of the Immune system, fatigue and the overgrowth of the parasitic yeast Candida. Albican.
Believing in holistic Pretty & Healthy , we shall continue this post with recommended juices and herbals that would help you detox efficiently and re- establish a correct pH ratio.
